Drug Detection Dogs
Drug detection dogs are highly effective at detecting the presence of drugs in cars, buildings, schools, factories, aircraft and ships. Commanded by its handler, the dog indicates the presence of drugs with a passive signal – normally a sit or a ‘stand and stare’. We operate in areas such as airports, hospitals, offices, police operations, events and music festivals.
Our drug detection dogs make no contact with the people they scan, sitting in front of them instead, giving grounds for a security officer or police officer to conduct a search for unlawful possession of drugs. K9 Met Specialists are licensed by the Home Office to store and keep real drug samples for the purposes of drug detection dog training. We never use pseudo drugs as part of our training.
